STEAM Symposium
Students were invited to select two one hour sessions from the following list: Futuristic Superhero Vehicle Design (with WHS' own Carolyn Frawley), Introduction to Arduino, Artificial Intelligence: Creating Music with Machines, Seeing inside the Body, growing Food While Caring for the Planet, Science of Yoga,  Archeology Basics, Veterinary Science: Critters/People/You, Forensic Footwear Impressions,  Cryptology for Beginners: Cracking Secret Codes, Effects of Acid Rain on Rocks, What Makes a Bird a Bird, The Future: Hydrogen and Zero Carbon World, Trends in Food Sensory Science, and Sphero Racing/Makey Makey Music.

In their note to parents describing the day, STEAM organizers extraordinaire Mary Knopp and Janet Matthews said, "The goal is to inspire and empower students about opportunities in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM)."

Well mission accomplished! Today was amazing! Thank you to Ms. Matthews and Ms. Knopp for your hard work in creating extensions of learning and enrichment opportunities! #wildcatpride.
