Seventh Graders Tackle a Teamwork Mission in the Hero Training Facility

Seventh graders in Bryan Korzen’s Academic Support program completed a high-energy team-building mission inside the Westlake Hero Training Facility, a gamified classroom focused on study skills, executive functioning, and teamwork. Students worked in teams to “save the town’s parade” by disarming a simulated device using a Solo Cup Challenge, with one rule: they could not touch the cups with their hands, only the strings. The activity required strong communication, patience, and collaboration, and students rose to the challenge.
