Community Leadership Projects Celebration
Principal Anthony Mungioli said, “Over the past few years students have become more inwardly focused on giving back to their school community. This year we have seen an artistic flair with new murals and colorful inspiration. One student has adorned the pathway to the Middle School with "Spirt Rocks" that contain uplifting art and messages. Another aspect of our CLP that has evolved is the carrying on of projects from year to year. We hope some of our 6th and 7th Graders will pick up the mantle and make this project a tradition.”
Westlake Middle School views leadership opportunities as a form of enrichment. Participation in CLP gives students the opportunity to both learn and act. This unique middle school offering puts students in the driver’s seat. With each new opportunity, traditions are created and students gain the skill to become even stronger and more successful at their next challenge.
