October 2 was National School Custodian Day!

Wildcats Football recorded a 42-14 over Byram Hills AND our Coach Cas celebrated his 250th win! 

In September, we celebrated National Arts in Education Week by shining a spotlight on the incredible work happening in our art classrooms across Hawthorne, Columbus, WMS, and WHS.

The inaugural Betsy Groat Memorial Volleyball game was held on Friday, October 3.

Earlier today, the Westlake Campus received a swatting call — a false report intended to trigger an emergency response. Working closely with the Mount Pleasant Police Department, our School Resource Officer, and on-site security personnel, we immediately investigated the situation. The campus was promptly secured while law enforcement conducted a thorough assessment. Law enforcement was able to determine that there was no credible threat to our schools.

Science 7 students in Mrs. Sullivan's and Mrs. McDermott's classes have been exploring the phenomena of "Survival on Mars."

The Public Hearing on the 2025-2026 District-wide Safety and Emergency Management Plan will take place at the beginning of the Monthly Board of Education meeting on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 7:30 pm.
