Anthony Mungioli is the Principal of Westlake Middle School, leading a collaborative and student-centered learning community grounded in innovation, inclusion, and academic excellence. Since joining the Mount Pleasant Central School District in 2019, he has worked to strengthen curriculum alignment, instructional practice, and student engagement through a multi-tiered system of supports and meaningful professional collaboration.

Before his tenure in Mount Pleasant, Mr. Mungioli served as Principal of PS/IS 121 Nelson A. Rockefeller Magnet School of Applied Sciences in Brooklyn, where he led the school to consistent recognition for high performance and innovation. Under his leadership, the school earned a federal Magnet Grant to implement a theme of applied life sciences, expanding STEM and project-based learning opportunities for all students. Earlier in his career, he served as Assistant Principal at PS/IS 180 The SEEALL Academy and as a middle school teacher of social studies and mathematics at PS/IS 95 The Gravesend School.

Mr. Mungioli is known for his commitment to fostering inclusive environments that challenge all learners while supporting their social and emotional growth. His leadership emphasizes collaboration, professional learning, and continuous improvement — ensuring that every student develops the skills and confidence to thrive in high school and beyond.

He holds a Master of Arts in School Administration and Supervision from Touro College and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, cum laude, from Binghamton University. He also maintains New York State permanent certifications in School Administration and Supervision and in Secondary Education, Social Studies.

Theresa Outhouse serves as the Assistant Principal of Westlake Middle School. She has been a member of the Mount Pleasant Central School District leadership team since 2015, previously serving as Assistant Principal at Hawthorne and Columbus Elementary Schools. In her current role, she provides instructional leadership, oversees academic programming, and supports a positive school culture for students and staff.

Theresa plays a key role in advancing the district’s vision for teaching and learning. She brings extensive expertise in literacy and effective instructional practices, building strong connections with students, families, and colleagues. Her experience supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of elementary students positions her to guide middle school learners successfully as they transition and develop.

In addition to her school-based leadership, Theresa contributes to district-wide initiatives in academics, safety, wellness, and community engagement. She collaborates closely with faculty and administrators to ensure that all students thrive in a supportive and challenging learning environment.
